I’d just like to share that meditation has certainly been better than “medication” during the stormy times of my life because the practise helped me enormously, weather the storm.
Just 12 years ago, I woke up every single day feeling scared, sad and resentful.  

Sure, I had my work and a safe place to live, so I knew I was lucky in a certain sense. However, I couldn’t say I was truly ‘happy’.  My personal circumstances had completely changed, my 34 year relationship had ended, my 3 kids were leaving home, the future was uncertain and for the first time in my life, I was on my own.  To make matters worse, I really couldn’t imagine how I would ever be able to change things.  I just wanted my old familiar life back, because it was easier than the unknown. We all like to stay in our circle of familiarity don’t we?

So many people are held back by limiting beliefs that stifle their true potential and leave them feeling frustrated or alone.  Understand this: it’s not your fault that you have these limiting beliefs! They’re actually passed down through generations in more than one way.

For one thing, they can be transmitted through social interaction in your family and you may have already given some thought to how your parents and your culture have imbued you with a certain level of negativity.


To add to this, however, cutting edge science is now showing us that limiting beliefs can also be passed down genetically.  I bet you’ve never considered that you might be carrying genetically inherited fears and limiting beliefs that you got directly from your parents.  While these beliefs have nothing to do with your experiences, they’re still holding you back.
